Paint by number Da Vinci's Last Supper $14.25, or I LOVE paint by number, anyone who's been to our house knows it! Online I've found Degas, Cezanne and Gaugin. It's nice to have some of the old masters back.
With a Rebel Yell 1000pc jigsaw puzzle $14.95 (2 for 12.50) Since there's almost nothing a wholesome family can watch on TV these days, we enjoy doing puzzles together. As a memorial against government encroachment, I love this puzzle. Yes, I'm from the South. Yes, I believe the Civil War was not about slavery, but about a federal government that wanted more power over the states. For an interesting read, try The Real Lincoln

Almost Free... (because we all know NOTHING in this life is free!) Beautiful gifts to print and fold, fill with goodies, or stand alone. These are from a wonderful illustrator who shares some of her art. You can download and print out, cut, fold, glue. You end up with little treasures. I know she has some bigger projects that are not for the faint hearted. Beautiful gifts to print and fold, fill with goodies, or stand alone.
Hello friends. Sorry for being absent for so long! Yikes. I wanted to post this though, about my friend's Modesty Boutique. What a beautiful thing these young ladies are doing! If you have a minute, go check out Bellisima Modesty Boutique. Here is a link to their blog.
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. (Ps. 90:17)
It made me go to the trouble to get on here! It's the best endorsement I've heard for Senator McCain. I think the respect this young man has makes a big impact on me. Watch to the end...

Transcript of the video... Dear Mr. Obama, Having spent 12 months in the Iraqi theater, I can promise you this was not a mistake. I witnessed first hand the many sacrifices made by the people of Iraq. Those sacrifices were not mistakes. The Iraqi people are just like us. They want a chance to live in a secure world, free from tyranny, free from terrorism, free to prosper, free to raise their children and pass on a future. Are they better off today than they were in 2002? You bet. I've seen many men sacrifice their lives for the Iraqi people. They died for a purpose, not a mistake. They died giving hope, they died promoting freedom. Do you rescue a fireman just as he is about to save a child? When you call the Iraqi war a mistake, you disrespect the service, and the sacrifice of everyone who has died promoting freedom. Freedom carries with it a price. Because you do not understand nor appreciate these principles sir, I am supporting Senator John McCain for President. He too made a huge sacrifice promoting freedom, because he understands a fundamental truth..."Freedom is always worth the price". [Song plays: And I'm proud to be an American, where at least i know I'm free, and I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land! God bless the USA!]
Big Praise to the Lord! My family is safe. My brother and his wife and family are safe.
My mom and dad probably don't even know this yet, because they can't get their TV to work, but about 2 miles from them a tornado hit and destroyed a Texas A&M research facility. Ladies, that was so CLOSE! Pieces of it were scattered all over the road. I am SO thankful for your prayers.
My dad said he had gone at the last minute to tie an iron flat bed trailer to my brother's trampoline. They found them both across the field this morning, about 100 yards from where they started out. Mom was almost in tears from pain (after taking all her meds), they've been sleeping on cushions on the floor, last night for safety, and today to be near the fan. It was in the 90s today, dad says it is supposed to be around 95 tomorrow.
As you may have seen on TV or your computer, things are pretty bad there. But the worst part is the absence city services, water, sewer, electricity, natural gas, garbage service. My parents said they've heard estimates of up to a month to have all electricity restored. Power is out from Lake Charles, Louisiana to Houston. I just heard the guy on the weather channel say the biggest power outage in US history (?), estimated over 4,000,000 people without power.
Friends of my mom, who evacuated up north to Marshall, TX just lost power from the storm. Marshall is about 3.5 hours drive north of Beaumont.
I also heard of two of my cousins from Bridge City who didn't evacuate. One of the families decided to leave when the surge suddenly came and washed over their couch. Then went outside to find the car under water. They were taken by a neighbor with a giant Texas truck to his house. The other cousin was rescued by helicopter from a bridge. I hear many are waiting in flooded houses to be rescued.
If you want to continue to pray... •First Responders are working around the clock doing search and rescue. Strength and resources for them. •Resources for people there whether they evacuated or stayed. It's costly either way! •People working to restore services who will be working long hours. Some coming from other states. •My mom's pain. •And of course safety and strength for all. •And all the stuff I forgot, because I am not thinking clearly!
Thank you all so much, you mean so much to us. Sheri
Here is a video of my hometown, Beaumont, TX. Mom says the authorities are guessing it could be up to a MONTH without electricity. Some of the surrounding towns are worse because of flooding.
